Choose the right kind of electrical protection
Do not confuse backup with voltage regulation
A UPS supplies short battery backup to connected compatible electronics. An AC stabilizer manages input voltage for a suitable air conditioner. An extension board adds outlets, and an emergency light supplies illumination.
None of these products repairs unsafe house wiring or replaces circuit protection.
Calculate load before connecting
Add the wattage of connected devices and account for startup behaviour. Do not connect heaters, kettles, large appliances or AC units to desktop UPSs or ordinary extension boards unless explicitly rated and approved.
For AC stabilizers, match tonnage, voltage range and manufacturer guidance.
Inspect heat, plugs and batteries
Stop using loose, cracked, discoloured or unusually warm sockets and cables. Keep ventilation openings clear and have questionable wiring inspected by a qualified electrician.
UPS and emergency-light batteries lose capacity over time; check replacement and disposal routes.

Helpful answers
Can a 600VA UPS run a desktop computer?
It may support a modest compatible setup for short backup, but actual runtime depends on total load, battery condition and power factor. Calculate before connecting.
Does every AC need a stabilizer?
Requirements depend on AC design, voltage conditions and manufacturer guidance. Match any stabilizer to the exact AC.
Can I connect appliances to an extension board?
Only devices within the board's rating and intended use. High-load heating and motor appliances often require dedicated wall sockets.
How long does an emergency light battery last?
Runtime depends on brightness mode, battery age and charging condition. Check the current product specification and test it periodically.
